What’s On: October

Saturday, 30th September: Soulcraft playing at the Village Hall 7.30pm. Wood fired pizza and licensed bar available. Tickets £7.50 in advance from the Pavilion Stores, £10 on the door subject to capacity.

Wednesday, 4 October: Ladies Lunch at The Fox & Goose. Booking essential 763239

Saturday, 7 October: Apple pressing day 10am-4pm at The Pavilion Stores & Café. Bring your apples to be pressed plus clean containers to take away your juice. Spare apples if you don’t have any!

Saturday 21 October: Wine tasting evening 7.30pm at the Village Hall. Enjoy a fun, informal and informative evening with a tasting of six wines presented by wine expert, David Rowe. Cheese board and light snacks provided. Tickets £15 from Pavilion Stores & Café. Advance booking only.

Sunday, 22 October: Harvest Festival service 6pm at Christ Church, Parracombe followed by the auction of produce and Harvest Supper at the Village Hall hosted by members of Blackmoor Gate Young Farmers.

Wednesday, 25 October: Charity Coffee Morning 11am-12noon at the Village Hall

Saturday, 28 October: Rock ‘n’ roll night with Broken Aerials, back by popular demand. Halloween themed, fancy dress optional. Doors 7:30 with a licensed bar and hot food available. Tickets £7.50 in advance from the Pavilion Stores, £10 on the door subject to capacity.

Sunday, 29 October: Harvest Festival service 6pm at St Martin’s, Martinhoe followed by Harvest Supper in Hannington Hall and a harvest produce auction to raise funds to restore the church bells. Tickets £15 for two course meal and glass of wine. Please bring harvest donations for auction.

Friday 17 November: Beaford in Parracombe: Spitz & Co present ‘Elvis in Blue Hawaii’ (comedy/drama/music) at the Village Hall. Not to be missed so get the date in your diary now. Further details to be announced.
